Peter Foyle

Originally from Dorset, Peter's interest in art started from a young age - as a teenager he loved nothing more than cycling around the country lanes near his home with his easel and paints strapped to his bicycle, seeking out interesting subjects to paint en plein air. Whilst still at school, he won a few awards for his work and sold several paintings and commissions.

After school Peter studied at St. Martin’s School of Art in London, graduating in 1986 when he was a finalist in the prestigious 'Readers Digest Young Illustrators Award.' He practised as a freelance artist and illustrator until 1990 when he and his wife opened their own gallery in Ayrshire, where Peter currently lives and works.
