Born in 1962 in Australia but trained, living and working in Scotland, Judith's bold, expressive landscapes have led to sell-out shows in Scotland, London and the rest of the UK, as well as exhibiting further afield in Ireland, America, Russia and Sweden.
Winner of the 1999 MacRoberts Open Prize and the coveted 2009 'House for an Art Lover' prize at the Royal Glasgow Institute. A regular exhibitor and member of the Paisley Art Institute, RGI and RSW, Judith's work can be found in the collections of The Royal Bank of Scotland, The University of Strathclyde, Glasgow Caledonian University, and privately worldwide.
"Scottish art is characteristically about a love of bold, vibrant, joyously expressive colour, which is often released from its purely descriptive role. My work also combines a love of almost sculptural texture, and contrasts between elements such as the abstract and the figurative, organic and geometric, thick and thin paint.
