Patricia grew up in Selkirk and attended Selkirk High School. There she was taught by the artist John McNairn, who inspired Patricia's great love for landscapes of the Scottish Borders. She studied from 1962-64 at Edinburgh College of Art before completing a three year course in Dress and Design at Queen Margaret College. Patricia taught fabric collage and creative embroidery for three years before starting her family. It was when her children began school that she decided to paint full-time. Her work has been accepted by the Scottish Society of Women Artists, The Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Watercolour and the Scottish Artists and Artist Craftsmen. Patricia has also exhibited in many mixed and Solo exhibitions and has work in private collections.
