Emma S. Davis RSW PAI

Born in Paisley in August 1975, Emma studied Fine Art Drawing & Painting at The Glasgow School of Art and graduated with BA Honours in 1998 which concluded in a sell-out degree show. Emma became the youngest ever recipient of the Alexander Graham Munro Travel Award at the RSW Annual Exhibition in 1999, allowing her to travel and paint extensively in Italy. She exhibited these series of paintings at the RSW Exhibition in 2001, and was also elected an artist member of the RSW. Since then, she has won several prestigious awards, exhibited at several group and solo exhibitions throughout the UK. Her work is included in many private and corporate collections.

"My paintings are often personal. My moods and emotions about particular areas I am painting, the strength of light and most importantly the colour influence the way that I work each day. I aim to evoke a feeling of a place rather than reproduce a direct likeness."
