Laura graduated in 1996 with a BA(Hons) in Design, Jewellery and Silversmithing from Glasgow School of Art. In 1995 she designed and made the medals for both Gold and Silver Awards for the Scottish International Piano Competition. In 1996 she was awarded a Design School Bursary and the Richard Hubbard Memorial Prize by Glasgow School of Art. In her relatively short working career, Laura has shown her work throughout Scotland and several exhibitions in England and is building a reputation for fresh, innovative designs. Specialising in intricate basketry and knitted wire techniques, she uses fine metals set with precious stones and has developed a range of both jewellery and wrist or pendant purses, both imaginitive and unique in design and appeal.
