Tim Cockburn

Tim was born in Sheffield in 1955 and he studied at Edinburgh College of Art, graduating with a Diploma in Drawing and Painting in 1978. He lived and worked in Tuscany for a year before travelling to India and Sri Lanka.

Between 1986 and 1989 Tim editioned work for artists at the Edinburgh Printmakers Workshop and his duties included the running of regular courses in Printmaking. From 1989 to 1991 he worked as a part-time lecturer at Telford College of Education. Tim became Chairman of the Council of the Edinburgh Printmakers Workshop in 1990 and served as Chairman until 1994. He has had countless one-man exhibitions throughout Scotland and has work in private collections in the USA, Canada, Australia, Colombia, New Zealand, Italy, and Switzerland. His work is also in many public and corporate collections in Scotland.
