"My work to date has been mainly based on animals, in particular Scottish wildlife. I recently visited Madhya Pradesh, India and my current body of work is of the animals I studied at the Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve. I use acrylic paint on canvas, leaving the background blank to draw the focus purely on the animal. Capturing the character and soul of the animal in their eyes and the softness of the fur on the beast, is what I endeavor to create in my work. I try to achieve the different textures by using lots of light layers of paint and a wide variety of brushes."
