nicola chambury

Nicola graduated from Grays School of Art in Aberdeen this year, specialising in printmaking.  Since graduating, Nicola has had work in recent graduate exhibitions in Glasgow, Montrose,  London and Aberdeen. 

“I have lived in many different landscapes around the world, getting to know them through walking and gardening.  Ten years ago I settled in the North East of Scotland, an area which both becomes home and remains alien.  My work deals with our physical and contemplative experience of landscape.  I find the process of etching, working and reworking plates, reaching towards some kind of resolution or accommodation, reflects these experiences of landscape.”
