“Previous work has been made in, and based on Edinburgh.  Taken from life and conceived in the studio, these abstract and semi figurative images use observed shape and rich colour to evoke the atmosphere and tensions found at night-time.  The work has also concerned itself with the night-time but has dealt with reflections on water and like my more recent pieces, are taken from the form of drawings and paintings.”
