karen Mcphail
Karen graduated from Glasgow School of Art with first class honours then completed a post-graduate in ceramics in 1990. Since then she has worked on numerous art education projects and, while her three children were young, ran a pre-school nursery. She now make ceramics in a workshop at home in Renfrewshire.
Her work is functional and decorative earthenware ceramics for the home. Coloured slip decoration, printed decals and glaze are applied in layers to create a playful, collage like quality.
