michelle young-hares
Michelle studied at Edinburgh College of Art and graduated in 1993 with a BA (Hons) in Ceramics, and later for her Post Graduate degree.
Her work is currently made by using earthenware and with colours to create unusual and sensual ceramics. Weaving themes of duality, growth and fertility, balance and tension, texture and suggested movement, Michelle creates ambiguous yet familiar sculptures. Michelle's work earned her the Andrew Grant Scholarship in 1993, and in 1995, the Princes Trust Travel Award in Hungary.
