john bell
John studied at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, Dundee from 1990-94 graduating with a B.A. (Hons) in Illustration and Printmaking.
He paints mainly in acrylic and his draughtsmanship shows clearly when his subjects are old stone buildings or boats which have seen better days. He finds the east coast of Scotland and the Angus countryside provides an abundant variety of subjects for his paintings. His excellent technical ability has led to many commissions, including the Forth Bridge. He exhibits throughout Scotland and is a regular exhibitor with The Strathearn Gallery.
